Althea Sunrise and Moonrise Eyeshadow Palette Review

Aside from contours, eye shadows could be my next big reason to practice doing makeup more. To be honest, I used to have a hard time doing eye shadows because I don't know how it works and how to perfectly mix them. I used to watch eye shadow tutorials in Youtube to practice my eye shadow skills and I admit that I'm a beginner in doing eye shadows.

It's quite an exciting feeling to have a beautiful eye shadow palette to play with. And for today, let me share my first impression with Althea's Sunrise and Moonrise Eye Shadow Palette.

This palette came together with the rest of the new Althea Makeup Line and is packed inside a carton designed with roses. The palette comes in a sleek plastic container with eight playful shades of shimmer and matte eye shadow shades.

Price: Php1,780
Where to buy: Althea Korea

Surprisingly, the palette didn't come with an eye shadow brush (which most eye shadow palette usually has). With its black plastic container, the Althea Sunrise and Moonrise Eye Shadow Palette looks extra classy and expensive.

The shades is a mixture of nude and warm. You can create an easy daily makeup look or party look because of the available colors. I'm praying that Althea Pixies can have this palette in smokey shades!

The swatch above shows the pigmentation of the eye shadow at one swipe. It's not very pigmented so you have to build it with several layers. It also has some powder fall outs when applied.

Overall, it is easy to blend and mix with the other shades. I just wish there are more darker shades to play with to create smokey eyes. 😉
