DIY | Turn Your Old Leggings to a Halter Top

Do you have an old pair of leggings that's already lose or you no longer use? Here's a quick DIY tip where you can recreate your old leggings into a chic halter top.

 What you need:

  • Pair of old leggings
  • Scissors
  • Needle and Thread
  • Safety Pin

Cut your leggings in this shape.

Flip it over to make the same as the photo above. Then try it on to see where adjustments are needed. As for me, I wanted to cut more on the underarm part so that it can look like more of a halter top.

If you flip it to the back, it should look like this. Make sure to saw the ends so it doesn't look like it was from an old leggings.

When sawing the neck part, put an allowance so that you can put your neck string on it.

Your neck string should come from the excess part of the leggings. It's up to you if you want it sewn properly or you want it to be crooked like the photo above. Then put a safety pin on the other end of the string so it will be easier for you to insert it on the neckline of your halter top.

You can now insert your neck string on the space you created on the previous part of this tutorial. Insert it until you create something like the photo below.

And tadaaaa! You now have your halter top made from your old pair of leggings.

Here's how it looks like when worn:
