Menow Kissproof Lipsticks - Review

For a beauty blogger, there's no such thing as too many lipsticks!

Hey sweeties! How are you doing? I've been checking my backlogs and noticed that this post has been a bit overdue. I received these lipsticks two weeks ago and I haven't got the chance to take photos, and this weekend, I took all the photos that I can for the blog list this week. So yeah. The blogger-sphere has been crazy about these Menow Kissproof Lipsticks and I was so curious what is the hype all about. So I bought the complete shades of these lipsticks for you guys to compare the shades as well.

Menow Kissproof Lipsticks are powder matte lipsticks made in China. So if ever you are wondering if there are any counterfiet products, nope! There is no US/Korean brand of this. This is made in China that is why it is very cheap.

It has 19 shades, but no naming convention available. Only shades #1-#19. Pretty hard to remember what shade are you wearing. I was expecting that this comes in shades with cool naming like Nude Pink or things like that, but no.

Market price for this is Php149, but other sellers sell it for a higher price. I sell it for Php120 each. PM me here if you want to order. It comes in a box and looks like a jumbo crayon. You can see the shade code on top (or bottom) of the box, and also includes a mini pamphlet for the description of the lipstick.

MY VERDICT:
When you first look at it, it looks like it's retractable. Unfortunately, it's not! You need to have a sharpener which makes it a bit more hassle to use it. I haven't seen any lipstick that needs to be sharpened. I mean, it's weird, right? Most of it are too hard to spread and cakes on my lips. You need to swipe more than twice to get your lips covered, and to achieve the shade you want. But it's very pigmented that it's too hard to wipe off. I tried using a make up remover to remove the lipstick and I swear, it's not that easy to remove. Although when using wet wipes, it's easier. As you can see on the photos above, I tried to wipe it off using water and the swatch didn't change at all. I tried to smudge, but it didn't totally disappear. I find the shade codes hard to remember like when someone asks what shade of lipstick I am using, it's confusing to tell them I'm using shade #16 or so. There's a variety of colors to choose from, but shades looks almost the same.

Out of the 19 shades, I only have 2 favorites: #12 and #16.

I still like this lipstick, though. It feels as if I am not wearing lipstick but when I look at the mirror, wow! It's still there. I recommend this one to ladies who doesn't want to put on lipsticks every single time. Plus, if you love matte lipsticks, you should go for this. This powder matte lipstick doesn't make your lips dry at all. It just feels like normal bare lips. Thumbs up!

Same tayo sis my personal favorite is yung number 12 :) And naka dalawa nakung stick kasi ganda ng shade na yun. Pero may issue itong kissproof eh, pero as far as I know its just about sa tax... have you heard about it?
