Althea x Get It Beauty Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Wash Off Masks - Review

These past few months, I realized that as we grow older, skincare is really important rather than concealing the imperfections with makeup. While it takes time to ensure that we do our skincare routine, as a working woman, sometimes, we do not have that much time to do the 10-step Korean skincare routine.

In collaboration with Get it Beauty - a popular Korean TV show - Althea released the Real Fresh Skin Detoxer 10 seconds wash off mask for us K-beauty junkies to try. It comes in two variants: Rose and Green Tea.

You can buy each variant of 150ml for 550php or buy both as a bundle at 990php at Althea Korea.

How to use:
Apply a relatively thick layer and leave for 10 seconds. Apply a bit of water and massage in circular motion then rinse off with water.

What I think:
  • It was kinda new to me that it should be used without water while being applied to the face for the first time.
  • Each wash-off mask has a gel-like consistency that can easily be spread out to the skin but with the aid of water.
  • The Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer comes in a tube dispenser that has the same minimalist aesthetic of the Althea Bare Essentials skincare line.
  • These face masks comes with plant extracts that makes it unique from others that I have tried.
  • The Rose (Refining) variant is meant to be used in the morning as it helps protect and balance the pH levels of the skin and evening out the skin's texture for perfect makeup aplication.
  • The Green Tea (Purifying) is best to be used at night because the content of this mask helps boost the skin's natural regeneration by ensuring that the skin is purified and ready to rest.
  • Both masks has soft scents that do not overpower and nourishes the skin even during application.
  • It doesn't cause irritation or breakouts upon using but I can say that after bath, the moisturizing effect don't last.
  • I have been using this for almost two months and the tubes are half-consumed. These masks can probably last for more than 3 months as a small amount of product can cover the entire face.
After using both variants for almost two months, I can atest that my skin got better, although with minimal changes. My skin got better in the nourising part, but I don't see any visible effects of helping lessen dark marks, as maybe it's not one of the properties that these masks have.

Although there were no visible effects, I am happy that it helps smoothen and nourish the skin.
