Happy Skin Shut Up and Kiss Me Lip and Cheek Mousse in Swept Me Off My Feet - Review

I have admired Happy Skin's product design and even store aesthetics for the longest time. While it is a local cosmetic brand, I can see how they evolve and how they made it together with larger international brands. To be honest, when I'm strolling in a mall, I go to cosmetic stores with beautiful pastel interior because it soothes my mind. For today, let me just share a quick review of the Happy Skin Shut Up and Kiss Me Lip and Cheek Mousse in Swept Me Off My Feet.

Price: 899php
Where to buy: Happy Skin Counters and website

I received this lippie as a gift from being Sample Room's Roommate of the Month of June 2018. To be honest, I have a wishlist for Happy Skin Cosmetics for stuffs I want to buy. This lippie is one of them.

I think the last one I bought from Happy Skin is the Beauty in Bloom Collection and I loved it as well. I got way too excited to try this when I saw it from my Sample Room gift.

Packaging
The Happy Skin Shut Up and Kiss Me Lip & Cheek Mousse comes in a conventional box and glass tube with a wand applicator.

Consistency, Shade, and Longevity
Unlike the crayon type of lipsticks, the Happy Skin Lip & Cheek Mousse is a creamy liquid lipstick that is pigmented at first swipe. Swept Me Off My Feet is a nude-pink shade that looks natural and is perfect for everyday use. After application, this lippie can last up to 4-5 hours even after eating. It is not transfer-proof though, so you might have to put powder on top if you want a bit of matte finish.

Hand Swatch - pigmented at first swipe

Lip swatch - pigmented at one layer of lippie

What I think:
Happy Skin Shut Up and Kiss Me Lip & Cheek Mousse works well. With its creamy consistency, it keeps the lips nourished and prevents on being dry. It is not hard to remove, which is a plus point, because I hate liquid lipsticks that are too hard to remove on the lips. Although to be honest, most of Happy Skin's cosmetic range is quite expensive for its market. The aesthetic of the brand likely targets teens and yuppies but prices ranges from 500 pesos to 1,500.

I would still buy it, though. This is the second product from their range that I have tried and I am impressed with the quality even if it is a local brand. I think Happy Skin proved to be better in competing with international brands because even though it is quite expensive, you really get the quality that you paid for.
