L'Oreal Colour Riche Lipstick in 402 Blake's Red

I'm not quite a fan of red lipsticks because it makes me look bitchy. I was used to wearing nude shades that it makes me uncomfortable wearing red. Lately last year, my friend gave me this red lipstick from the L'Oreal Colour Riche Exclusive Collection. This is in the shade Blake Red.

The whole Colour Riche Exclusive collection was created with a handful of celebs, including Eva Longoria and Julianne Moore, and promises a red for every woman.

This costs around $6. I am not sure if this is available in the Philippines but I got this from a friend from the US.

Blake’s Red is the kind of lipstick that you can pass between your friends when you’re getting ready because it flatters all skin tones.

It’s not too orangey and warm, and while it’s definitely a blue-based, cooler red, it’s not going to morph into magenta pink. Think of it like MAC Ruby Woo’s slightly more classic, understated older sister. If old school glam is your thing, then you need to add Blake’s Red to your repertoire like, now.

The perfect accompaniment to luscious red lips is a pearly white smile.

This is how it looks like when applied on the lips. The L'Oreal Colour Riche Lipstick in Blake Red is a creamy lipstick but not transfer-proof. The shade is very pigmented that you can get your desired red pout in just one swipe. Unfortunately, it is not lightweight so you will feel quite heavy lips. What I do is after application, I wipe the excess lipstick using a tissue to make it a bit lightweight.

The lipstick lasts for a good 7-8 hours without retouch and is quite hard to remove with plain water. If you're the type who loves red lips and often too lazy to retouch, this lipstick is for you.
