Pamper Time: Oxygen Peptide Facial at Forever Beautiful SM Megamall

Hey sweeties! Happy Tuesday! I've been idle last weekend because I was editing photos from my recent Ilocos trip with my college best friends, which I will be posting soon on this blog, too. There have been a lot of things that happened during that trip that caused us stress, that is why I decided to pamper myself again. I have been dealing with depression few months now and I know that the only way to soothe what I'm feeling is to rejuvenate myself.

"Love Yourself." - Justin Bieber

Recently, this one is on my playlist. From this day forward, I swear, I'm going to love myself more!

Anyways, I received a complimentary voucher from Skin Perfection - Oxygen Facial  during the recent blogger event Beauty in Full Bloom. And here's what happened:

I started doing facial treatments when I started to received complimentary vouchers from different brands. Because most of the time, facial treatments tend to be pricy, that's why I have to allot budget for it if I want to maintain. One of the main problems I am facing right now is acne. I am not sure where I got this, but I totally hate it! One day they're gone, one day they're all flashing on my face! Don't you just hate it when you have an important event and pimples just start appearing on your face? I know how it feels.

I have tried using products that will lessen and minimize the appearance of pimples, whiteheads, and blackheads, but unfortunately, none of them are effective enough. Maybe because I have tried a lot, and my skin was already damaged for trying. There are lots of clinics offering and claiming that they can resolve your skin problem, while everyone is also looking for the perfect treatment to solve all skin issues in one session. Let's face it, nobody is perfect and we all wanted to look good.

However, facial treatments doesn't come like a magic genie in a skin care product bottle to make your wrinkles, fine lines, sagging skin, and acne disappear.

Anyway, I was amazed that this Oxigen Facial claims to give you a cleaner, and younger-looking skin but it doesn't come overnight. It takes one good skin care regimen to make it work.

Oxygen Peptide Facial is a relaxing and results-oriented facial treatment which forms its basis on the revolutionary peptide skin care research, providing a turnkey solution for oil control and acne inflammation, hyperpigmentations, as well as anti-aging. The Clinical Solutions makes use of non-chemically derived formulas from specific skin type serums which is infused with stabilized oxygen to promote cellular growth and repair.

Here's my experience on Oxygen Facial Treatment using Skin Perfection products. There are 10 steps, however, I wasn't able to take photos of all since my face is covered, I am not able to see. I was about to take a video but the room light is just too dim.

First, Cleanse. Forever Beautiful uses Skin Perfection products. I was amazed that a cleanser can be used with a brush. After cleansing, Wash. Their facial wash contains Glycolic Acid, good for exfoliation. This wash removes dead skin on the face. My clinician mentioned that this treatment lasts for 5 mins.

Serum Application - 5 mins. My clinician covered my face with a damp cloth. The serum was a bit itchy, but tolerable.

Steam - 5 mins. Like any other usual facial treatments, steaming is used to open pores so that the clinician will be able to take away the dirt on the face easily.

After the steam, Vaccum. This is to sift the wet part of the face after steaming.

Extraction proper. Treatment depends on how many dirt will be removed on your face. On my case, I have lots of mini pimples on my chin. According to my research, we get pimples on the chin due to genital stress. I wonder why is that. Anyway, the pain of extraction is normal and tolerable, because it pushes away dirt on the face.

Erythromycin Solution. My face was, once again, covered, then the erythromycin solution. This usually works well to clear acne spots which are inflamed, and any surrounding skin inflammation.

Laser

Application of Serums
There are three serums that was applied on my face after the laser.
  1. Hyloronic Acid - removes dead skin to unclog pores
  2. AKA Serum (Alcoholic Ketoacidosis) - reduces scars, and is anti-bacterial
  3. Acne Peptide Cream - dries pimples and controls oily skin

And lastly, Automist or Oxygen Mist. This cools down the skin. The procedure is painless and requires no harsh chemical peels, as the whole point is to oxygenate the skin so that it can heal itself more quickly.

Price of Oxygen Facial: PHP1,800/session but I got this for free; approximately 45 mins to 1 hour
Suggestions: This should be done once a week in 4 weeks to see better results. But my clinician suggested that you can also do this twice a month.

Oxygen Facial  Benefits
Those who have an oxygen facial can resume normal activities right away and even apply makeup or lotion without worrying about how the skin will react.

The infusion of oxygen and vitamins is good for the skin because it encourage the growth of new cells as well as collagen. This treatment may also rejuvenate skin that has been exposed to pollutants, such as tobacco smoke and other toxins that starve cells of their oxygen. In addition, while some treatments can cost hundreds of dollars, an oxygen facial is still less expensive than Botox injections or other chemical facial fillers. This treatment has even been used to get rid of acne scars, as it is believed that the infusion of oxygen helps the skin to create new cells at a faster rate and reduce the appearance of blemishes.

One of the reasons why this treatment has become so popular is because an oxygen facial has little to no risk of serious side effects that often occur with so many other professional skin care treatments.  People with very sensitive or damaged skin may experience some redness, but it is usually temporary.

If there is one down side to having an oxygen facial it’s that that the effects do not last as long as other treatments. Another downside is that the results are not as immediately obvious because the treatment aims to help the skin rejuvenate itself, rather than create specific results. Also, the overuse of oxygen facial treatments may lead to the release of free radicals into the skin, which causes wrinkles, premature aging, and destroys skin cells, so it’s not advisable to overindulge.

REVIEW:
Although my face turned reddish, I feel fresh and light after the treatment. I was not allowed to wash my face on the night and put powders for one day. I had thr treatment last Friday but as of today, my pimples already dried and I'm waiting to see the result. One thing I just noticed is that the clinician is not using gloves during the treatment. So far, the treatment was good and I'm trying this in the next two weeks again!

Here's a preview of the clinic:
