Review: Etude House Baby Skin Base & Foundation

image

I am a big fan of Etude House. I love everything inside, because as what I have stated on my About Me page, I am easily captivated by pastel colors and baby colors. Aside from the fact that everything inside has pink shades, I am mesmerized by the idea that their products are as good as what we see on Korean faces. Admit it, we all want that fair and smooth skin.

For me, I have a very sensitive skin that my face easily reacts on what I apply. I have tried several products to achieve the look I want, however, it still depends on how it works with anyone else.

Liquid Foundations have been a hit lately. Honestly, I’m more into liquid foundations than pressed powders and two-way cakes because pressed foundations always tend to cake.

So for today, I will be sharing with you my thoughts on Etude House’s Baby Skin Base & Foundation

PACKAGING

At the back of the bottle, this is where we can usually find the ingredients and how to use, however, everything is written in Korean that I don’t understand a thing. Hihi.

Under the bottle indicates the manufactured date and expiration date of the product

The nozzle is the best! This gives me the impression that the product is super sealedand that it will not easily spill out.

The bottle is this small, but I guess this one is good for a month or two, depending on how much you use it.

Okay, this one just got blurred I didn’t notice. But this is how the Base looks like when swatched. It’s kinda liquid-y.

This one is how the liquid foundation looks like when swatched. It’s a bit sticky and thick.

When smudged properly, you can see that on the part where I applied the foundation, it became whiter. Due to limited light source, it may not be clear on this photo, but honestly, it became like three tones lighter than my skin tone.

MY THOUGHTS

  • I like the coverage that it provides when applied. It may be a bit sticky, but it doesn’t make my face oily.

  • Yes, it stays for hours. When you’re in an air conditioned room. I tried using this one then I walked under the sun, and I feel like my face is the oiliest face ever!

  • It has a mild baby powder scent.

  • It actually covers and hides blemishes instantly, but it will not remove.

  • The base has two shades; Baby Green #1 and Baby Apricot #2

  • I hate how I did the pumping about 10-15 times before the base/foundation comes out.

  • I wish I had the Baby Green shade! hihi.

  • IT provides good coverage. Here’s my before and after photo

I think these products are already phased out of Etude House, however, there’s the Baby Choux as the replacement. I’m eyeing that one at Etude House, so let me know if you want me to do a review! :)
